The VeggieSteam is made of 650°F/340°C flexible, heat-resistant silicone over a plastic core, making it both microwave-safe and impervious to corrosion. The silicone used is LMBG grade, one of the highest-rated on the market. that meets or exceeds the tough German standards for food safe products. It's also more durable and flexible than basic silicone.
