This is a knife block like no other. It uses no slots routed out of wood to hold knives, slots that limit the quantity and the sizes of the knives you can store. Instead, the Bodum Universal knife block employs hundreds of tiny, upright plastic rods, tightly packed together like at the end of a broom. These rods will absolutely not scratch or dull your fine knives, but will hold them securely upright in whatever spot you stick them. It's really pretty cool and, even better than that, it really works well. The casing of the block is plastic as well and silicone feet keep it in place on your counter. 8" X 8.5" X 1.75".
