From electric kettles to woks and classic French press coffeemakers, Bodum manages to combine superb function with appealing design. You get really nice kitchen appliances that also look pretty cool. A case in point is the new electric grill/griddle. The 14.75" x 9.25" cooking plate is made of solid aluminum, so it heats quickly and evenly, from end to end and side to side. You simply lift it out by the stay-cool handles and flip it over to choose your cooking surface. One side is flat and smooth, for frying eggs, cooking bacon, making grilled-cheese sandwiches, and a whole lot more. The other side is ridged, for grilling chicken, steak, or vegetables. Both sides have a durable, non-stick finish, so food releases perfectly and clean-up is easy. The cooking plate can even go in the dishwasher. Underneath the cooking plate is a drip pan that catches all the oil and grease. The drip pan slides right out and goes in the dishwasher.

The heating element, embedded in the cooking plate, draws up to 1800 watts of current, plenty of power for high heat cooking. The element is controlled by a simply rotary knob that gives you a choice of six temperature settings. The overall dimensions of the Bodum grill/griddle are 20" x 12.5" x 3.5" high.
