Yes, OXO now makes a French press coffeemaker, the coffee purist's preferred method of brewing. And of course, OXO has added a useful improvement, in this case a long-handled, lift-out ladle that, when brewing is done, lets you remove all the coffee grounds at once, neatly and quickly. This makes clean up easier and faster; just rinse the press and set it aside to dry.To brew, put the silicone-and-stainless ladle in the glass carafe, add coarsely-ground coffee and boiling water, stir well, steep for approx. 4 minutes, then press the grounds to the bottom with the stainless-mesh filter. The carafe has easy-to-read measurement lines, so you can judge serving size, and a stainless-steel sheath for protection and heat retention. The knob on the fiter press and the handle have soft, padded, non-slip surfaces. The 4-cup OXO French press stands 6" tall, the 8-cup version measures 8.3". All the parts of OXO French presses should be hand washed.
