Want frothed or steamed milk for a latte or cappuccino? The Nespresso Aeroccino is a real innovation, a sleek, stainless-steel milk frother that both heats and froths. The Aeroccino creates an exceptionally creamy, velvety, finely-textured froth that is far superior to that produced by any other electric frother we've come across. The secret is the size of the frothing whisk in the bottom, which incorporates air into the milk in very small amounts. The Aeroccino uses just a single button to choose any of three options: 1) heating milk only 2) frothing milk only, or 3) heating and frothing milk. Frothing takes only 60 seconds, adding heat to the froth requires an additional 10 seconds, heating alone takes about two minutes. The Aeroccino shuts itself off automatically after each interval. For heating only, a paddle replaces the wire whisk in the bottom of the Aeroccino. The paddles gently stirs the milk, so the milk heats evenly.

Other than the whisk, the paddle and the lid, there are no parts to the Aeroccino. You simply add cold milk, and press the button to choose your desired heating/frothing mode. Indicator lines on the inside show the maximum amount of milk that can be added for frothing (4.4 ozs.) and for heating (8.5 ozs.). The whisk and the paddle lift out and go in the dishwasher for clean up, one stores securely in the little dome at the back of the base, the other clips onto the lid. The jug itself, although it cannot go in the dishwasher, is immersible in water, because the electric heating element is in the base with the power cord. The Aeroccino stands just 6.7" tall and measures 4" in diameter.
