For years the Avion collection from BDI has set the standard for audio-video cabinets. Now, this award-winning collection has evolved into the next generation of home theater excellence with the Avion Series II.Enhancements include a linear, satin stainless steel base, the addition of soft-close doors, larger windows in the doors to allow greater infra-red remote control capabilities, and more generous cable management channels.

Avion cabinets are BDI's premier home-theatre pieces. The model 8928 is a two door cabinet with an upper multi-function compartment that conceals a center channel speaker, media, and/or additional components. Lower doors conceal two component compartments and a dedicated center gaming console compartment. Although the Avion cabinet looks very cool, it's what you can't see that sets it apart from other home-theatre furniture.

In the back is an optional flat-panel mounting system and a sliding panel to give easy access to components. It's designed to to handle a flat-panel or rear-projection television up to 50" in screen size. All the drawers and compartments feature flow-through ventilation to help audio and video components run cooler, and wire management to keep unsightly cords and cables neat and out of sight. Concealed wheels make moving the substantial Avion cabinet a breeze and concealed levelers compensate for uneven floors. The shelves are adjustable and can hold up to 80 lbs. and the side cabinets come with both fabric inserts for side speaker placement and infra-red-friendly glass for remote controls. The center drawer can be removed to make room for a center speaker up to 8" high.

The Avion Series II double cabinet measures 48" x 22" and stands 29" high; it weighs close to 200 lbs.
