This may be the one, the espresso machine that truly puts the coffee first. The all-stainless-steel Breville Dual-Boiler espresso machine gives you full control over pulling the shot, from the pre-infusion duration and pressure to the water temperature in the coffee boiler. It's been developed by people passionate about coffee, for people who share that passion. It's the first espresso machine we've seen that offers modern conveniences, but doesn't dumb down the process and lose the essence of the coffee. It won't pull the perfect shot on its own, it's not an autoomatic machine, but it offers the most demanding coffee drinker all the tools to pull the perfect shot every time.

As its name implies, the Breville machine employs two independent, stainless-steel boilers, one to heat water for steam, another to heat water for the coffee. So, there is no delay between pulling a shot and frothing milk, no waiting for the machine to come back up to temperature. To enhance the characteristics of different coffees, the water temperature in the stainless coffee boiler is adjustable in 1-degree increments, from 195 to 205 degrees F, controlled by an electronic temperature regulator. The steam boiler creates 2 bars of pressure and dispenses steam through a 360-degree-swivel wand with a three-hole tip. Instant hot water available for Americanos and for pre-heating cups.

Temperature control throughout the process is very important to Breville. The group head, where the ground coffee goes, has an embedded heating element (at 200 degrees F) to ensure that temperature loss in the coffee is kept to a minimum. A separate control from the boiler regulator gives you control over the final shot temperature, and the critical pre-infusion of the ground coffee, where the grounds are moistened prior to pulling the shot, is adjustable for both temperature and pressure.

Speaking of pressure, the Breville machine features a 15-bar Italian-made pump, and a feature usually found only on commercial espresso machines, an over-pressure valve. This valve limits brewing pressure to 9 bars throughout the extraction, preventing bitter flavors in the extraction that result for excessive pressure.

The Breville Dual-Boiler features an 85-oz. removable water tank with a convenient top-mounted lid, an espresso pressure guage and shot clock, a backlit LCD interface, an integrated and removable 58mm tamper, a 6-cup warming tray, and an easy-to-operate steam lever. The machine comes with single and dual-wall filters, a 25-oz. stainless steaming pitcher, cleaning tablets, and a 1-year supply of water filters. The Breville Dual-Boiler measures 16.25" wide, 15" deep and 15" high, and it weighs 30 lbs.
