The beautiful Holbrook collection is made in India of solid mango wood. Mango is a very durable, fast-growing, environmentally-friendly hardwood. The wood is harvested only after the mango trees stop bearing fruit, roughly when the trees are 20 years old. The barren trees are cut down and harvested, then replaced with young saplings. This allows the mango farmers to sell the best wood for fine furniture, supplementing their income from the fruit. The Holbrook collection is bench built using traditional conctruction methods. It is strikingly beautiful, in design, color and wood grain.
