Apple Pie Monkey Bread
MAKE THIS WITH: USA Pans Fluted Cake Pan
Ingredients
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ cup white sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 can (20 ounce) apple pie filling
2 cans (16 ounce) refrigerated biscuits
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cup butter
¾ cup powdered sugar
2 ½ Tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix together ¼ cup white sugar, ¼ cup brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.
Cut individual biscuits into quarter pieces. Roll each piece of the biscuit in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place half of the coated biscuits in the USA Pan Fluted Tube pan. Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces and top the biscuits with a half of the filling.
Place the remaining biscuits on top of the filling, and use the second half of filling to cover the biscuits. In a separate bowl heat the butter and then add the brown sugar. Stir until combined and then pour over the biscuits and filling.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and set.
Allow to cool before removing from pan. To make the glaze, mix together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a small bowl. Drizzle over the bread with a spoon.
